The scent profile
Downstairs, two children were pressed against the sitting-room window, determined to catch a glimpse of Santa. The biscuits were waiting, the carrot had been left out and bedtime had already been postponed twice. Just as they were about to give up, something moved across the stars. A flash of red, the faintest jingle of bells and a sleigh pulled by reindeer across the moonlit sky. The little girl grabbed her brother's hand. "I told you," she whispered, her eyes wide with wonder. And somewhere above the rooftops, Santa smiled.
